Our members are regularly in contact with the Knoxville-Knox County Planning Commission, who have informed us that Daniel Levy (architect for the project, and the formal applicant of the request) has requested another postponement for the sector plan amendment and zoning change hearing. Since the request has already been postponed twice, this postponement will require a vote by the Planning Commission. The Planner also informed us that there have been no changes to the original application as far as additional land, etc.
While this further postponement is good news for our cause, it’s not the end, and we must remain watchful for other actions the applicant may undertake. We recommend signing up for the Planning Commission’s emails.
